Description

IrsTerm is a simple terminal targeted for remotely using irssi in screen. In fact, it cannot be used for just about anything else. When run, irsterm will try to connect to a remote ssh server defined in its configuration whenever there is a network connection available. Currently only Nokia N900 is supported.

Note, IrsTerm currently only supports UTF-8, and will only allow to run screen -Ux on the remote target machine.

Features

"Panning"

When doing pan-like motions on the terminal window, IrsTerm will send commands to irssi that should make it scroll the backlog or change windows.

Auto-reconnect

IrsTerm tries to reconnect to the defined remote server whenever there is a network connection available.

Automatic go-to-status

IrsTerm will move irssi to the status window whever it is no longer focused.

Notifications

When title.pl is used and title_string contains "Act:($act)", IrsTerm will show notification bubbles whenever there is important activity.

URL opening

When an URL is tapped on, it is opened.

Installation

Point your N900 device here and click on the armel binary link, then choose "open in application manager".
